Graduation Ceremony Executive MBA UZH 2022-24

The Graduation Ceremony of the Executive MBA UZH was the festive end to an inspiring and transformational study program. 51 EMBA UZH graduates gathered with their families and friends in the Aula of the University of Zurich to receive their well-deserved diplomas and celebrate this achievement.

The ceremony started with an address by Prof. Dr. Alexander Wagner, Vice Dean for Executive Education and Alumni and President of the EMBA UZH, who welcomed the graduates, their guests and the representatives of the University and pointed out the important role of the support network of family and friends when undertaking an EMBA.

Then keynote speaker Aurelie Litynski, Positive Work Culture Expert I Learning & Development Consultant bei Happitude at Work spoke about “Making a Difference with Positive Leadership“and gave the graduates  recommendations to keep in mind in their leadership practice.

The keynote was framed with a musical interlude by award winning blues duo Christina Jaccard and David Ruosch.

Then Anna-Barbara Schlüer from the EMBA UZH Alumni Board and Thorsten Klein, Program Director of the EMBA UZH with Focus on Digital Transformation conferred the degrees upon the participants of the English EMBA. Afterwards Anna-Barbara Schlüer and Matthias Schaub, Program Director of the EMBA UZH with Focus on International Management conferred the degrees on the graduates of the German EMBA.

The celebrations continued with an Apero at the Lichthof of the University and then the graduates and their partners continued the celebrations at the Zunfthaus “Zur Waag”. During the dinner the awards for the Best Student in each EMBA program were presented to Luca Arpagaus und Michael Schümperli. Then the most Innovative Thesis awards were presented by Anna-Barbara Schlüer from the EMBA UZH Alumni Board.

In the EMBA UZH with Focus on Digital Transformation the alumni award for the most innovative master thesis went to Tamara Hofer, Michael Schümperli and Stephan Zumbühl for their thesis „Dimensions of Shaping: A Framework for Collaborations between Corporations and Start-ups“.

In the EMBA UZH with Focus on International Management the alumni award for the most innovative master thesis went to Piroska Herpai und Christoph Amstad for the thesis „Increased company success through improved cooperation (synchronicity) among employees“.

We congratulate all EMBA graduates to this extraordinary achievement. We welcome them to the Alumni Organization and we are looking forward to staying in touch.
